I have been a Catholic for a long time. I was not aware that the Church was supposed to change their teachings because a member was famous and powerful. Has there been problems in the Church? Yes. Should core beliefs change because Ted Kennedy happened to be Catholic. No way.
Honestly, I’m not so sure what he did that, that wouldn’t have happened anyway. Well maybe one thing, but I’ll leave that off the post.
