Who would have thought it was so easy to get out of something you don’t want to deal with!

Boss ask if you have the board presentation ready? “I’m buying shrimp guys”?

Teacher asks if you did your homework? “I’m buying shrimp guys”

Policeman asks if you have license and registration? “I’m buying shrimp guys!

Why not? It works for our President! In Martha’s Vineyard, on his sixth vacation (if you count the pretend vacation to the Gulf of Mexico), Obama was asked a question about the war in Iraq. Obviously not wanting to answer, he shouts “We’re buying shrimp guys. Come on” What a ridiculous statement. If he was walking into church or heading into an official gathering, maybe he could avoid answering questions. Not when standing in line (pretending again) to buy shrimp! Answer the question Obama! If you don’t want to be asked questions by reporters on your many vacations, then dont allow them to be there. We don’t need any pictures of you standing in line (yeah, right) to buy shrimp! If that’s all you want them for, tell them to stay home. I’m not sure if that happened before or after his 48th round of golf since becoming President.

Speaking of the pretend vacation to the Gulf of Mexico, guess what the First Lady ordered for dinner. Keep in mind the purpose of the pretend vacation was to show (pretend) support to the residents and businesses of the area. Apparently she has a huge fondness for lobster, and yes, she ordered lobster. That would be fine except, yes you already know, no lobsters in the gulf of Mexico! I guess they were pretending on their pretend vacation to pretend like lobsters come from the Gulf!

Obama’s newest spiel is to compare the economy to a car that has run off the road into a ditch. Obama and his fellow democrats have to get into the ditch and get all muddy and dirty while getting it back on the road, while the Republicans watched. Then he makes sure to take the keys away from the Republicans.

Obama, you idiot, the reason the Republicans watched you pull that car out of the ditch is because that wasn’t their car, that was your car. It was a 2009 Special Flaming Liberal model. It didn’t work too well though. The speed of recovery was really slow and when you opened up the hood you could see that it was really way underpowered. It finally ran out of gas and coasted off into the ditch.

The Republicans though, they have a brand new Supercharged High powered model on order. It’s a 2013 model and it comes out in November 2012. A big down payment is going to be made this November, with the remainder of the payment to be made two years later. That baby is going to rocket too!

Obama and fellow dems, I suggest you walk on the sidewalk. The road won’t belong to you any longer.

Henjoy emailed me this. I dont know its origins, but I like the sentiment!

******************************************************************

Read at your leisure. I kinda liked this one ’cause I always got asked did I
fly planes

Dear Civilians, ‘We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation
has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military.

For those of you who can’t join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of
the areas where we would like your assistance:

1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the
playing of the National Anthem – kick their ass.

2. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest -
kick their ass.

3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount
of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull
them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they
bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans
made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran
kicks their ass.

4. If you were never in the military DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing
battle dress uniforms (BDUs), Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to
be ‘Special Forces, Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when
you were seven years old, now, it will only make you look stupid and get your
ass kicked.

5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not ask them, Do you
fly a jet? Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves
an ass-kicking (children are exempt).

6. If you witness someone calling the *US Coast Guard* ‘non-military’, inform
them of their mistake – and kick their ass.

7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your
damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart. Quietly
thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her – of
course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass-kicking.

8. ‘Your mama wears combat boots’ never made sense to me – stop saying it! If
she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore would kick your ass!

9. ‘Flyboy’ (*Air Force*), ‘Jarhead’ (*Marines*), ‘Grunt’ (*Army*), ‘Squid’
(*Navy*), ‘Puddle Jumpers’ (*Coast Guard*), etc., are terms of endearment we
use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have
not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your ass kicked.

10. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military,
support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious
holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are
literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen far from home
wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the
sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our Country would get its ass
kicked.

11. ‘It’s the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the
press.’

‘It’s the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.’

‘It’s the Veteran, not the community organizer, who gives us the freedom
to demonstrate.’

‘It’s the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and
whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the
flag.’

WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE!

IN GOD WE TRUST

Why is anyone surprised that Obama is supporting the building of a mosque at ground zero in New York City? He has exhibited nothing but disdain for Americans. He bows to foreign leaders. He tells the world we shouldn’t be a superpower any longer. (Which by the way, the sane world totally disagrees with). He spends us into debt that will never be repaid, and attempts to repay it by extreme axes (which never work). He won’t open up his past, but is amused when we asked about it. He is the most arrogant President we have ever had without having anyone behind him to compensate for that. All of his staff is either arrogant, lacking in intellect, or criminal. So please don’t be surprised that he supports building a Mosque in the very place planes controlled by Muslims killed over 3000 people and destroyed the lives of countless others.

Please, anyone that attempts to throw out freedom of religion at me, can put that argument back into your otherwise empty sack of logic. There are countless ways this could have and still be prevented. New York City could have dragged the application process itself along for 20 years! If we are so worried about keeping separation of religion and state, why are we as US Taxpayers, funding a trip for Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to travel to the middle east for a mission trip to increase understanding of American Islam. Keep in mind as the Iman behind the building of this Mosque and refuses to denounce Hamas as a terrorist organization. He has also stated that America was an accomplice in 9-11 attacks. Does anyone honestly think that will be the sole purpose of his trip?

Subsequent to his original comments, Obama later said he was only commenting on the constitutional right to practice ones religion. Does this mean he has suddenly become a supporter of the constitution? I think we all know the answer to that.

Today, a JetBlue flight attendant, after a scuffle with a passenger, made quite a dramatic exit from his flight. As the plane was landing and taxing to the gate, a passenger got up and began trying to get his luggage from the overhead. Steven Slater, the flight attendant, told him he had to wait until the flight had stopped at the gate. The female passenger had already had an altercation with another passenger, which Mr Slater intervened in. She slammed the door of the overhead before the flight, hitting Mr. Slater on his head. Upon landing she attempted to get her bag before the flight reached the gate. When that happened he grabbed the intercom microphone, unleashed a number of expletives towards her, drank a beer, popped the emergency slide, and bailed out the side.

I gotta say if your going to quit, that’s the way to go!

I have only quit one job abruptly and that was after a manager cussed me out for taking off a day to go to my daughters high school graduation. Even then, I didn’t quit until I had another job in had, which actually started the next day!

Do any of you have any great quitting stories? I would love to hear them!

Today, in the Atlanta suburbs two incidents which involved police, totally pissed me off. I try not to use that language when writing, but it is totally appropriate when discussing these incidents.

The first happened in Fayette County, GA south of Atlanta. An officer attempted to pull over a vehicle occupied by four “men” (none over 20). The men were suspected of a rash of burglaries that had occurred in the area. When he attempted to pull them over, they fled, in the process wrecking their car. After losing control of their car, they fled into some heavy woods where they were ultimately arrested.

So you ask me what pisses me off about this incident? It sure as heck wasn’t them getting arrested or wrecking their car. I could care less about that. What bothered me is that during the chase, Fayette County’s first full service canine, died after the chase. His name was Aaros, and he collapsed after the chase, probably from heat exhaustion. He died enroute to the veterinary hospital. He added more value to this world than the four suspected robbers combined, and will be missed more than they ever could be.

The second incident also happened south of Atlanta, in Henry County, Ga. Henry County adjoins Fayette County, but the incidents were unrelated. In this case a man and a woman attempted to break into a home which turned out to be occupied. As they came through the front door, which they broke into with a crowbar, the owner shot them with his shotgun. The male robber died on the scene. The female fled, but was later arrested, after calling 911 for help. Oh I hope you don’t think that the man shooting them is what upset me? No, what really ticks me off is that they thought they had the right to break into someones home and take what they wanted. They put themselves in the position of a homeowner having to use deadly force, and they deserved what they received. What I do feel sorry for, is the homeowner who has to go through the ordeal, even though he was completely justified. Better it be him dealing with that, instead of harm coming to him though.

So this may be insensitive and some of you may not like this but tough. In order of my concern, ranked for most concern to least concern.

1) The man who had to use deadly force to stop a home invasion. Even though clearly in the right, that can’t be an easy thing to deal with.

2) Aaros, the law enforcement canine. Aaros was doing his job, aiding his fellow officers and did not deserve to die because some scum decided it’s easier to steal stuff, rather than make money to buy it.

3) The four thieves…who cares. If they are convicted, I hope they rot. I’m sure being young though, they won’t spend much time in jail. That’s just the way it works.

4) The injured female home invade. Who cares…consider yourself lucky your partner was in front of you. Hope you also spend a long time in jail

5) The dead home invader. Whatever. Don’t break peoples doors down. You never know whats waiting for you

I admit to having a finance background, not a scientific background so maybe someone can help me here. I read in an article today that the new super skimmer is being held up for testing by the EPA to test the quality of the water that will be put back in the Gulf because it will contain “trace” amounts of crude oil.

Keep that word trace in mind now. I do believe that trace means small or minute amounts of oil. So this super skimmer is going to suck up huge, vast amounts of floating crude and spit out water that will have small, minute amounts of crude in it. What am I missing here?

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has grown increasingly frustrated because of this and because the government also refuses to let him build protective berms because the environmental effects have not been determined. Again I ask, how the hell can it be worse than doing nothing. Someone, anyone, please enlighten me.

Interestingly enough, in the same article, Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson said it was not the place for the EPA to close beaches, instead it was local authorities job to do so. So basically she is saying local authorities have no say so in keeping the oil from showing up, but when it does, its entirely up to them to open or close the same beaches?

To partially quote the great Bill Murray, “There’s something wrong with us, something very, very wrong with us. Something seriously wrong with us”

People who know and read my blog know that I have no positive feelings towards Obama. He has failed in everything he has done since taking office. His economic policies are weak. His social polices are worse. He has totally mismanaged the BP oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. His defense policies, such as they are, are inadequate. His border security (and yes he can share this one with Bush) is non existent and his immigration policies are a joke.

Having said that, I think McChrystal made a big mistake giving the interview to Rolling Stone. As bad as Obama is, he is still the Commander in Chief and McChrystal’s boss. As bad as you think things are with your job and boss, the quickest way to be rid of both of them is to bad mouth them in public.

I can only think that perhaps he is so frustrated with the way things have been run that he could not keep his mouth shut and no longer cares what happpens to himself. Personally, I would go ahead and resign. There is no way I would show up for that meeting to be bad mouthed by that administration, who is clueless on how things should be run, just to be fired!

What do you think?

A friend of mine who recently moved to Arizona had this to say after I shared the following survery with him.

http://www.wsbtv.com/surveyresults/23610217/detail.html?section=news&questionum=1&answer1=1

“Thanks for sharing. Now that I live in Arizona, I have a much better appreciation of the problem. Arizonans are NOT racist. After California secured their border (with much Federal help) all the illegals just shifted their routes to Arizona. Now several cities in California are boycotting Arizona because we want the same border security as they currently have. How hypocritical of the liberal elitists! Southern Arizona is very hilly with a lot of vegetation allowing the illegals to easily hide from Border Patrol (when BP is actively looking for them which is not very often). The conservative estimates indicate that at least 1,000 illegals cross the Arizona border from Mexico 24/7 X 365 days. Arizona educational, social welfare and healthcare facilities are overwhelmed and of course the taxpayers are footing the bill. It has also been documented that illegals from other countries are entering the U.S. from Mexico over the Arizona border – North Koreans and Somalis have been apprehended. What were they doing here? How many got in that weren’t apprehended? The lack of a sense of urgency in dealing with this issue by our elected officials is appalling. But then, Arizona is a red state with only 10 electoral votes so I guess we’re just not as important as California or Texas.”

He also shared the following with me.

For your blog.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2010/06/16/closes-park-land-mexico-border-americans/

About 3,500 acres of southern Arizona have been closed off to U.S. citizens due to increased violence at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The closed off area includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge that stretches along the U.S.-Mexico border.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu told Fox News that violence against law enforcement officers and U.S. citizens has increased in the past four months, forcing officers on an 80 mile stretch of Arizona land north of the Mexico border off-limits to Americans.

The refuge had been adversely affected by the increase in drug smugglers, illegal activity and surveillance, which made it dangerous for Americans to visit.

“The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent,” said refuge manager Mitch Ellis.

“It’s literally out of control,” said Babeu. “We stood with Senator McCain and literally demanded support for 3,000 soldiers to be deployed to Arizona to get this under control and finally secure our border with Mexico. “

U.S. Fish and Wildlife officials have warned visitors in Arizona to beware of heavily armed drug smugglers and human traffickers.

“We need support from the federal government. It’s their job to secure the border and they haven’t done it,” said Babeu. “In fact, President Obama suspended the construction of the fence and it’s just simply outrageous.”

Signs have been posted warning Americans not to cross into the closed off territory south of Interstate 8. Babeu said the signs are not enough – he said Arizona needs more resources to help scale back the violence caused by the drug cartels.

“We need action. It’s shameful that we, as the most powerful nation on Earth, … can’t even secure our own border and protect our own families.”

Indeed he is right. It is a shame.

Remember in Forrest Gump when he ended up in a Black Panther Party meeting and was upset because he got in a fight there. He apologized and said ” I’m sorry for ruining your black panther party” Well I don’t think in today’s version he would have been allowed in the meeting, as evidenced by the quote below, from one of the leaders.

“With the rise of the Tea Party, the white-right and other racist forces. With gun sales nationwide at an all time high amongst whites, with a mood that is more anti-Black than any time recent, it is imperative that we organize our forces, pool our resources and prepare for war!” Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq. Convention Convener and Party Chairman.

This past weekend the New Black Panther Party held a convention at Morris Brown college in Atlanta. It seems quite odd that a group like this can hold a convention at a university and nothing is said, but let Sarah Palin show up at the University of Georgia or equivalant and everyone goes nuts. Its totally amazing. What is even more amazing is the lack of coverage for the event. I suspect that is because coverage was probably not wanted and the press wouldn’t want to deal with having to broadcast it. I say that based on the fact that Atlanta station Rock 100.5 sent one of their producers to the event. This was broadcast on June 2 on the morning show. I do not know the name of the person they were interviewing but apparently a delegate because they were at the convention. They asked him a number of questions, but his most telling comments were ” he would not be happy until all crackers were dead”. He made it very clear upon questioning that crackers were white people.

I can only imagine the outrage that would occur, and rightfully so, if this were a group of white people talking about black people or any other ethnic group. Its disturbing and the press should be covering such events.

The below link will show you the speakers of the event and the quote from above.
