Letter to President Obama from Lou Pritchett

July 31, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

I found this on the internet. I checked it out on Snopes and a few other places and seems to be valid. Even if not, it should be!!

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA

Dear President Obama:

You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.

You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.

You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.

You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.

You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.

You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core.

You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others.

You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.

You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America’ crowd and deliver this message abroad.

You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.

You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.

You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.

You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.

You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.

You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.

You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.

You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.

You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.

You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.

Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

What would they say if George Bush Did it?

July 30, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News

Since George Bush is still being blamed for everything, even the things Obama said he would fix, I thought this would be appropriate. I dont need to say a whole lot. It speaks for itself. I found it floating about the internet, but it makes a lot of sense.

So what is an Approval rating anyway?

If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special
                Olympics, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and
incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a
thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing
videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly
                narcissistic and tacky?

If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you
                have approved?

If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the
non-existent “Austrian language,” would you have brushed it off as a
                minor slip?

If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with
people who cannot seem to keep current on their income taxes, would
                you have approved?

If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to
“Cinco de Cuatro” in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the
fourth of May (Cuatro de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried
again, would you have winced in embarrassment?

If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word advice would you have
hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoe as “proof”
of what a dunce he is?

If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a
single tree on “Earth Day”, would you have concluded he’s a hypocrite?

If George W. Bush’s administration had okayed Air Force One flying
low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown
Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you  have wondered   whether
they actually “get” what happened on 9-11?

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter
installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have
laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own
and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?

If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims
throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than
in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political
issue with claims of racism and incompetence?

If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major
corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so,
                would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had
taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you
                have approved?

If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within
10 years, would you have approved?

If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan’s holdings of GM
stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you
                have approved?

If George W.. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take
Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant
and impressive? Can’t think of anything? Don’t worry. He’s done all
this in 5 months — so you’ll have three years and seven months to
                come up with an answer.

President Obama blames Republicans for being against healthcare reform but forgets about blue dogs who are also against

July 25, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

In his weekly address today,  President Obama again railed against Republicans who he seems to think that they would rather damage him politically rather than fix a broken system. He even said “I’ll leave it to them to explain that to the American people.”  This was a continuation of his blaming Republicans during his news conference on July 22,2009 when he said “I understand how easy it is for this town to become consumed in the game of politics – to turn every issue into running tally of who’s up and who’s down.  I’ve heard that one Republican strategist told his party that even though they may want to compromise, it’s better politics to “go for the kill.”  Another Republican Senator said that defeating health reform is about “breaking” me.”

Why is he so worried about what the Republicans are saying when Democrats control both the House and Senate? Maybe it’s because the Democrats themselves cannot agree on this plan. The Blue Dogs, which is what a group of fiscal conservative  Democrats are know as, have not had their concerns about the bill addressed.  The leader of their group, Representative Mike Ross said that talks had fallen apart Friday and he saw no possibility of a new deal, saying “after over a week of very intense and what I believe to be good faith negotiations … it pretty much fell apart this afternoon.”

Obviously President Obama does not want blame fellow Democrats for this collapsing deal, but everyone needs to know it is not just a partisan effort to wreck his legislation. He does not have the broad support he wants us to believe he has and that he needs to get this passed.

President Obama pays for healthcare with funds from mismanaged programs

July 23, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News

Does anyone besides myself find it a little odd that President Obama says that he is going to pay for the national health care plan by reallocating funds that are being wasted in federal health care programs? Think about that one.  Yes, we are going to finance a new program with funds that are being wasted in other programs. Yet we are supposed to believe the government will get it right on this one? Personally I am somewhat leery of a government that has spent all of my social security with no plans on how to replace it, getting the health care program right. It appears that much of the country is starting to see this as his poll numbers are dropping, and contrary to Speaker Pelosi’s statements, they do not have the votes to push it through.  That became apparent with the decision to wait until the fall for a vote. I guess we will see if it happens then.

President Obama speaks of healthcare without knowing facts

July 22, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News, Uncategorized

Once again, President Obama speaks of facts without knowing facts. He even admits it….again. Yesterday he admitted he didn’t know what was in the House health care bill, after denying that it outlaws private insurance coverage.  Since it’s difficult to deny a bill does something while at the same admitting you don’t know what the bill says, doesn’t do much for your arguments credibility. Tonight, after continuing to spew the same misinformation about the health care bill, he ended the nonsense by talking about something else, in which he admitted he didnt know the facts.

Tonight he chose to talk about how “stupidly” the Cambridge police acted in the arrest of Henry Gates, a Harvard professor. Mr. Gates locked himself out of his house which we all have done at some point. However, most of us appreciate when the police are looking out for possible burgulars, and show up at our house. It has happened to me before, when I was loading personal belongings into a truck which I was taking to a charitable organization. Mr. Gates however, chose to get belligerent with the police, arguing with them, taunting them with names, and accusing them of racial profiling.  It’s a shame in this day and time, that that sort of behavior is tolerated, and even condoned by the American public and even the President of the United States. If one was of a suspicious nature, the thought might even occur that’s its just another way of talking about something besides a failing presidency and a health plan sure to bankrupt this country.

President Obama admits he is not familar with House bill?

July 21, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News

If President Obama is not familiar with House bill and the Representatives are not either, who does know what is being passed? We have bills being rammed through that are thousands of pages long that Congress admits they have not read, and probably will not.

Obama is telling us publicly that we can keep our coverage, and keep our doctor, period. However, if he read the bill that is being presented, then he would know  this is not true. If he has read the bill then he is lying, because the bill will essentially run private carriers out of business. Why will they be run out of business? Because the regulations are going to be so extensive and restraining, costs will be driven up. The Heritage Foundation partnered with the Lewin Group and this is what they found.

  • Approximately 103 million people would be covered under the new public plan and, as a consequence, about 83.4 million people would lose their private insurance. This would represent a 48.4 percent reduction in the number of people with private coverage.
  • About 88.1 million workers would see their current private, employer-sponsored health plan go away and would be shifted to the public plan.
  • Yearly premiums for the typical American with private coverage could go up by as much as $460 per privately-insured person, as a result of increased cost-shifting stemming from a public plan modeled on Medicare.

President Obama, where is that promised transparency? Why won’t you tell us what it’s really going to cost!

Paula Abdul not coming back? Oh no!

July 19, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

Just kidding, who cares! Lets face it, if Paula, Randy, and the other one I can’t even remember quits tomorrow, it’s not that big of a deal. Lets face it, everyone loves to hate Simon! As long as Simon is around, the show will go on! On the other hand if the show ends tomorrow, well I guess I will watch old Andy Griffith Reruns!

Andy Griffith Show cast

Andy Griffith Show cast

I mean let’s face it. Every year, Simon and cast try to direct everyone to vote for a certain person, but instead the underdog from the South wins! Bottom line, if everyone quits but Simon, I will watch because he is entertaining. If everyone stays, but Simon, lets watch Andy!

Is Hillary Clinton serious?

July 18, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News

Who does she think she is kidding, going over to India and preaching to them about not following our mistakes in contributing to global warming. Does she and Obama seriously think that when we cause business here to shut down trying to following ridiculously strict emission laws, that India won’t be happy to step into that void. I expect they will and I don’t blame them.  Furthermore, I am sick of the entire administration running around the globe apologizing for us. Yes we have made mistakes, but we have also done great good throughout the world.  Enough is enough!

Obama’s solid transparency!

July 16, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News, Uncategorized

We were told among many other things that if he were to be elected, his administration would be transparent. Nothing behind the scenes, nothing hidden from us.

We were told that no lobbyists would be hired….didn’t happen. We were told there would be time for public comment on bills before being voted. Well we know that didn’t happen. We were told he wouldn’t sign legislation with earmarks. Now that’s a big one we know didn’t happen.

Now at the risk of being considered a nut, we also have the issue of never having seen a birth certificate. On the face that would seem to be a silly argument. But if it is, why does he try so hard not to show the certificate. It’s a piece of paper, and we all have one. Many times we all have had to use it for some type of identification be it job, driver’s license, passport, or social security purposes.

Recently as reported by Worldnetdaily.com, Major Stefan Frederick Cook was scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan. Major Cook insisted on seeing a certificate of live birth, in order to prove that the Commander in Chief was lawfully elected. Without a lawful Commander-in Chief, Major Cook was concerned that any order coming from Obama, would be an illegal order, and thus not covered by Geneva Convention protections. A hearing on the questions was scheduled for July 16 but instead, the Army revoked his orders. No explanation was given, only that he would not be going. One has to wonder why so much effort is put into preventing the simple act of showing a certificate of live birth.

In further developments in the case, the Pentagon has insisted that his employer fire him. His employer is Simtech, Inc, a Defense Security Services contractor. This seems to be a violation of The Whistleblower Protection Act and we will be watching to see what happens next.

What comes around

July 08, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Games

What comes around goes around they say, but I say what comes around stays! 25 years ago, I bought a Nintendo for my son to play. Of course their was Legend of Zelda, Mario Brothers, and many others. And of course their was Mike Tyson’s punchout, with the funny little guys on the screen. I rarely had the opportunity to play games because I was too busy working to pay for them and when I did I would promptly get trounced by him and his friends.
mike tyson punchout

Fast forward to today and we have the Wii. Now I know all you hard core gamers will probably say its not much of a game machine, but for people like me, who never were a gamer, its just the ticket. I have been playing for about a year, mostly Wii Sports and Wii fitness, but recently received Punchout as a gift.

From what I hear its pretty similar to the original sans Mike Tyson. I went through the first two guys pretty quick, Glass Joe and Von Kyser. But then I had to battle the Disco kid. He is very obnoxious but after a couple of nights I took him down. The Hippo King was a different story, but I did prevail. That let me move on to the next round and I am now battling Piston Hondo. He is a very tough hombre, who refuses to go down no matter how many

punches I give him. I will prevail though.
The Wii really is fun, especially for an older wannabe gamer like me. I will keep you posted on the progress.

Until next time!!

Global Warming!

July 07, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Global Warming

Please! It gets hot…global warming. It gets cold…global warming…too much rain, yep global warming, not enough rain, oh yeah global warming. Some said global warming caused all the hurricanes a few years ago….then the next year they said it caused the lack of hurricanes. Too much snow or too little snow…you guessed it…global warming.

Give me a break. June was the 8th coldest June since records were kept in the late 1800′s. I guess it has to be global warming. One of Sean Hannity’s callers said global warming causes global cooling. He had one of his rare but brief moments of speechlessness over that one.

Scientests are even saying now that other planets in our system are experiencing temperature increases. Not seeing many automobiles or factories on those planets.

Before anyone can yell at me, I think we owe it to ourselves to be good stewards of our planet, but lets not get carried away. There is no definitive proof one way or the other that it exists, and no amount of sky is falling rhetoric will change that.

Until next time!!!

King of Pop??

July 07, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Michael Jackson

Whatever! Enough is enough! Soldiers are dying overseas and Obama is ruining our country, but all we can talk about is a guy that basically killed himself, and hasnt had a hit in years? I for one, will be glad when its put aside.
