Where In The World Is Obama?

May 27, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

Where has Obama been? He has traveled through Europe explaining to Europe that we are an arrogant nation and no longer a superpower.

Where will he not be? He will not be at Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day to honor our fallen troops.

Where has he been? Meeting with Mexican President Calderone agreeing with him about how misguided Arizona is in passing an immigration law which has the intent of enforcing existing federal law.

Where has he not been? He has not been in Arizona supporting the citizens of one of the states of The United States of America, in their struggle against the invasion of illegal immigrants using Mexico as an entry point but certainly not limited to Mexicans.

Where has Obama been? He pledged full support to Haiti after the earthquake and has sent Michelle to visit. In itself, I have no problem with, but….

Where has he not been? He was not in Nashville while they have struggled with five hundred year floods that have devastated entire communities. Nor has he been on the Gulf Coast while they fight against the tide of crude oil flooding the coastline, destroying the marshes, animal life, the fishing industry and the tourism business.

Are we not allowed to make mistakes?

May 25, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

Last week, four students donned Ku Klux Klan outfits as part of a film project for teacher Catherine Ariemma’s Advanced Placement U.S. history class. This occurred in Lumpkin County, Georgia about 70 miles north of Atlanta.  As the teacher escorted the students through the cafeteria, Cory Rider, a student become outraged and had to be restrained by a coach.

Now the teacher is on administrative leave without pay, teachers are having to take sensitivity and diversity training, and many people are questioning, why the outrage.

The KKK while evil , was none the less a part of history. John Evans, an activist and vice president of the Dekalb County NAACP had this to say: “White folk murdered and raped and robbed black folk back in the day. It’s part of history,” said Evans, a former president of the DeKalb County branch of the NAACP. “Now, if you’re teaching history, aren’t you supposed to include that?”

Yes Mr. Evans, I think we do have to teach that. While it may make us cringe, we should know these things and not forget them. The Jewish people know this as they will never let the holocaust be forgotten, nor should they.

In my opinion, the only mistake made was that no one warned the school that they were filming something.  Make it a rule that the school must be informed about such things before acting on them. There is no need for diversity training, sensitivity training, or disciplinary action. Just move on with a lesson learned.

Bizarro World

May 19, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

I don’t know if any of you are Superman fans but in the comic books there used to be a place Superman would somehow end up that was backwards from everything on earth.

From Wikipedia:In the Bizarro world of “Htrae” (“Earth” spelled backwards), society is ruled by the Bizarro Code which states “Us do opposite of all Earthly things! Us hate beauty! Us love ugliness! Is big crime to make anything perfect on Bizarro World!”. In one episode, for example, a salesman is doing a brisk trade selling Bizarro bonds: “Guaranteed to lose money for you”. Later, the mayor appoints Bizarro No. 1 to investigate a crime, “Because you are stupider than the entire Bizarro police force put together”. This is intended and taken as a great compliment.

Well it seems we have somehow been transported into some kind of crazy bizarro world. Arizona tries to enforce federal law and Obama says they are misguided. What do they want to do? They want you to prove you are in this country legally. The federal government has done nothing to protect our borders (yes this goes to Bush too, but Obama has taken it to extremes), but instead of supporting a state that is trying to do something about it. Obama trashes them. Not only does he trash them, but he allows the president of Mexico, the one responsible for these problems, to actually join in the trashing. It’s disgusting, that he does not stand up for Americans.  However, what happens when Obama decides to attend the commencement exercises at an American High School in the heart of America?  He makes the prove their nationality! That is completely unbelievable.  Illegal immigrants don’t have to present ID, American citizens do. When are we going to have enough of this?

In another episode of Bizarro Worldness, Senate Candidate Richard Blumenthal from Conneticutt admitted he “misspoke” when he said on numerous occasions that he served in Vietnam when actually he never served in Vietnam. Now that is Bizarro worldly in itself, but what is bizarro, is the fact no one in his party, absolutely no one, has spoke up against his “misspokes”. In the first place, lets call it what it is, and that’s a lie! He lied! He did not misspeak. He said he served in Vietnam but he never did. That is a lie. So don’t dishonor those who served there by calling your lie, a “misspoke”. I can’t understand why not one single Democrat has spoken against him, but then again they are living on a razor edge right now and are afraid of anything that can start a tumbling domino effect. Hopefully that has already happened in the form of Arlen Specter. You know, the one that switched parties from Republican to Democrat because he was afraid he would lose as a Republican. Occasionally life balances itself, doesn’t it. Hopefully more to come in November….much more.

Okay So Sarcasm doesnt work so well…

May 12, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

On my previous post regarding the Arizona Immigration law I tried to make a point using sarcasm. Well many people in their rush to read got angry and didnt get past the title or first paragraph. I wish I had written it differently and hopefully those who skipped over it will go back and give it another shot because I completely support Arizona’s efforts to control the illegal immigration problem. We sure know our government, both sides of the fence, have failed to do so, so who can blame Arizona for trying. These conventions that are pulling out of Arizona are weak minding individuals and groups who are letting PC rules govern how they operate. That is a shame.

On a related note, what is going on with these Mexican students who think it’s okay to take down the American flag and raise up the Mexican flag. If they are truly here legally to make a better life, blah blah, all that stuff, then they would know better. If they are already citizens, then they are Mexican-Americans (I truly hate hyphenating American names like that but I am trying to make a point) and they should surely not be raising THEIR flag over the Mexican flag. Unbelievable.

Now we are hearing about students who are getting suspended for wearing American flag shirts or hats. Another who got suspended for taking down a Mexican flag that a group of students had raised over the American flag. People this is America! Men have died over the years taking down a foreign flag on our soil, or over someone elses occupied soil and they were rightfully considered heros. Now if you are a student and you do it, you are suspended? Something is wrong with this picture people, and it needs to stop! As I have mentioned before, I am all for legal immigration, but if you are doing it legally, you will not be removing the American flag and putting your own up. You just will not be doing it. I never served in the military but there must be men and women in this country who cry when they see this happening and the lack of response to stop it. I am afraid that if authorities don’t do the right thing and stop it, then it will get ugly and I do not want to see that happen.

Okay, so like I said, I hope if you didn’t read my post because you thought I was trashing the Arizona law, you will give it another shot. I certainly can take criticism, but I don’t want it to be based on a partial reading of my post.

Thanks All and God Bless America!!!

Repeal The Arizona Immigration Law SB1070

May 05, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: News

I think that Arizona Immigration Law SB1070 should immediately be repealed. I think that it is wrong that people should have to carry papers with them to prove they are legal and in America we should not have to do that. The Arizona state legislature should immediately do whatever it takes to repeal this law requiring enforcement of immigration rules.

Because I think that it is wrong to have to carry papers with you proving you are legal, I also think that laws should be passed immediately by Congress making it illegal to ask for my drivers license and boarding passes when I go to the airport. I find it highly offensive that I have to prove who I am before I am allowed past security gates. I also think upon reaching the gate, I should never be asked who I am either. This is also offensive.

While they are passing this law, they should also make it illegal for states to ask me for my drivers license and proof of insurance at insurance checkpoint roadblocks. It is extremely demeaning that I have to prove that I am who I say I am and that I actually do have insurance for my vehicle.

Of course, the law should also make sure that I don’t have to prove who I am when I am in a store or business writing a check or using a credit card. My word should be good enough that the check or card belongs to me. Make it illegal to ask for ID in a business. This would also include things such as will call tickets at a concert or ball game. Just give me my tickets. I don’t need to prove I am me.

I also think that the law should cover the workplace. No need to have to prove who I am. If I tell you that I have CPA credentials or I am qualified engineer, then by all means, just believe me. It might hurt my self esteem if you don’t believe me and make me fill out papers with proof of ID.

I hope by now you have figured out that I am being sarcastic with this article. I completely believe the law passed in Arizona was the right thing to do and I hope it is used by other states as a template to pass their own laws. Why should anyone her legally be worried about showing ID? If you have the legal right to be here, then prove it and move on. If you don’t have the legal right, well then stay where you came from. It’s actually quite simple.

I know that some people think that the law will be used to discriminate racially or ethnically. I don’t believe that at all. Will most people that get arrested for violations of the law be Hispanic? Probably! It’s a border state on our southern border. It doesn’t border France , it borders Mexico! It only stands to reason that people from Central America will be the ones trying to cross the border illegally. Profiling should not be considered illegal. Profiling is just what it says, looking for someone that fits a certain profile.

I hope that the Arizona legislature, the governor, and the citizens will stick to their guns and not let this law be repealed without a fight. I applaud and support them.
