People who know and read my blog know that I have no positive feelings towards Obama. He has failed in everything he has done since taking office. His economic policies are weak. His social polices are worse. He has totally mismanaged the BP oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. His defense policies, such as they are, are inadequate. His border security (and yes he can share this one with Bush) is non existent and his immigration policies are a joke.
Having said that, I think McChrystal made a big mistake giving the interview to Rolling Stone. As bad as Obama is, he is still the Commander in Chief and McChrystal’s boss. As bad as you think things are with your job and boss, the quickest way to be rid of both of them is to bad mouth them in public.
I can only think that perhaps he is so frustrated with the way things have been run that he could not keep his mouth shut and no longer cares what happpens to himself. Personally, I would go ahead and resign. There is no way I would show up for that meeting to be bad mouthed by that administration, who is clueless on how things should be run, just to be fired!
“Thanks for sharing. Now that I live in Arizona, I have a much better appreciation of the problem. Arizonans are NOT racist. After California secured their border (with much Federal help) all the illegals just shifted their routes to Arizona. Now several cities in California are boycotting Arizona because we want the same border security as they currently have. How hypocritical of the liberal elitists! Southern Arizona is very hilly with a lot of vegetation allowing the illegals to easily hide from Border Patrol (when BP is actively looking for them which is not very often). The conservative estimates indicate that at least 1,000 illegals cross the Arizona border from Mexico 24/7 X 365 days. Arizona educational, social welfare and healthcare facilities are overwhelmed and of course the taxpayers are footing the bill. It has also been documented that illegals from other countries are entering the U.S. from Mexico over the Arizona border – North Koreans and Somalis have been apprehended. What were they doing here? How many got in that weren’t apprehended? The lack of a sense of urgency in dealing with this issue by our elected officials is appalling. But then, Arizona is a red state with only 10 electoral votes so I guess we’re just not as important as California or Texas.”
About 3,500 acres of southern Arizona have been closed off to U.S. citizens due to increased violence at the U.S.-Mexico border, according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
The closed off area includes part of the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge that stretches along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu told Fox News that violence against law enforcement officers and U.S. citizens has increased in the past four months, forcing officers on an 80 mile stretch of Arizona land north of the Mexico border off-limits to Americans.
The refuge had been adversely affected by the increase in drug smugglers, illegal activity and surveillance, which made it dangerous for Americans to visit.
“The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent,” said refuge manager Mitch Ellis.
“It’s literally out of control,” said Babeu. “We stood with Senator McCain and literally demanded support for 3,000 soldiers to be deployed to Arizona to get this under control and finally secure our border with Mexico. “
U.S. Fish and Wildlife officials have warned visitors in Arizona to beware of heavily armed drug smugglers and human traffickers.
“We need support from the federal government. It’s their job to secure the border and they haven’t done it,” said Babeu. “In fact, President Obama suspended the construction of the fence and it’s just simply outrageous.”
Signs have been posted warning Americans not to cross into the closed off territory south of Interstate 8. Babeu said the signs are not enough – he said Arizona needs more resources to help scale back the violence caused by the drug cartels.
“We need action. It’s shameful that we, as the most powerful nation on Earth, … can’t even secure our own border and protect our own families.”

Remember in Forrest Gump when he ended up in a Black Panther Party meeting and was upset because he got in a fight there. He apologized and said ” I’m sorry for ruining your black panther party” Well I don’t think in today’s version he would have been allowed in the meeting, as evidenced by the quote below, from one of the leaders.
“With the rise of the Tea Party, the white-right and other racist forces. With gun sales nationwide at an all time high amongst whites, with a mood that is more anti-Black than any time recent, it is imperative that we organize our forces, pool our resources and prepare for war!” Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz, Esq. Convention Convener and Party Chairman.
This past weekend the New Black Panther Party held a convention at Morris Brown college in Atlanta. It seems quite odd that a group like this can hold a convention at a university and nothing is said, but let Sarah Palin show up at the University of Georgia or equivalant and everyone goes nuts. Its totally amazing. What is even more amazing is the lack of coverage for the event. I suspect that is because coverage was probably not wanted and the press wouldn’t want to deal with having to broadcast it. I say that based on the fact that Atlanta station Rock 100.5 sent one of their producers to the event. This was broadcast on June 2 on the morning show. I do not know the name of the person they were interviewing but apparently a delegate because they were at the convention. They asked him a number of questions, but his most telling comments were ” he would not be happy until all crackers were dead”. He made it very clear upon questioning that crackers were white people.
I can only imagine the outrage that would occur, and rightfully so, if this were a group of white people talking about black people or any other ethnic group. Its disturbing and the press should be covering such events.
The below link will show you the speakers of the event and the quote from above.

With the recent attempts by the “peace activists”, who were anything but that, to break the blockade to Gaza, I am very concerned for Israel and their safety. It is apparent that our President is not supporting them, and without that, it becomes a pretty small world for Israel. I am not from Israel, nor am I Jewish. I don’t even know any Jewish people. I simply think that we have limited allies in that area, and our leadership is acting foolish by not offering them support.
If some of these other countries that have publicly stated that Israel should not exist suddenly have no fear of the United States intervening, they may decide that they can do whatever they want. I do think Israel can defend themselves, but they may have to do things in the process, that if we were supporting them, they would not otherwise have to do.
Israel is surrounded by enemies and has no choice but to protect their borders (something we should be doing more of ourselves). Why should they allow ships to bring goods unknown to the Palestinians when it is possible and likely that some of those goods may end up being missles and other weapons. Since enforcing the blockade, Israel has had less attacks from Gaza and it is apparent that the blockade has helped.
My question is why are we supporting Israel so little but doing nothing about Iran who is building nuclear weaponry. I know, they say they are not, but only another lunatic would believe that. They are doing it and allowing a country who has stated that Israel should be removed from the globe, to have nuclear weapons is simply insane. I do not understand why we think letters and sanctions are enough.
