Time to profile!
Yes I said it and it’s about time for it to happen. I don’t travel a lot but it never amazes me the silliness we go through at the airport. You get in a line, you take off your shoes, and your belt and hope the thing doesn’t ding you for some unknown reason. Then you hope that you dont get busted for that 4 ounces of shampoo you have because you couldn’t find a smaller bottle. You don’t dare say anything because those bored TSA workers are hoping for a reason to hold you up and go through your belongings.
Meanwhile, a guy from a known terrorist state, traveling alone, with no luggage, on a one way ticket, is able to get a bomb on board a plane. Luckily he wasn’t competent enough to set it off before he was stopped by fellow passengers. But then what is the response? Tightened security at the airports. You would expect this right? Of course you would. You would expect that people fitting the above profile would be stopped and searched. But oh no…not the case. The typical PC liberal government response is to randomly search people including babies and elderly people.
It is just a matter of time, if things don’t change, that one of these terrorists will be successful. I sure hope that if it does happen, we can at least say we were doing everything we could to prevent. Looking in a babies diaper is not going to suffice!
Other countries profile and there is nothing wrong with it. Profiling you are simply looking for someone that fits the profile of a group most likely to commit a certain act. A baby traveling with his mom to go see grandma for Christmas is most likely not going to plant a bomb. A person with terrorist ties traveling from a terror based country with no luggage on a one way ticket….well you be the judge.
I concur completely with your summation here. Our government seems to have lost all common sense……I went to pick up some tax forms at the local Federal Building, and the elderly lady ahead of me in a wheel chair was searched, as was I…
it’s just plain ridiculous……
It is crazy. We are so afraid of offending someone that we overlook the likely threats. If that plane had gone down though it wouldn’t have mattered what your race, creed, or religon was. Dead is dead!
Our government and a great many other people have lost common sense, values and wisdom. Our current priorities are certainly not determined by wisdom.
It is past time to “do the right thing” and go after those who ae most likely to do harm instead of behaving so ignorantly. As the Twistedmuser said dead is dead! I hope we see far less of it instead of more of it.

Now because of years of political correctness it is just a shadow of itself, because the government caved in to foreign nationals,weak immigration laws and commonwealth countries people being allowed to move in and get all the benefits that British people had worked hard all their life for being given away to people that had no history or work experience in that country.
Now because of the double standards
people are moving to other countries like Spain, France and other countries to get away from the mess
the Government has created. America you are well on your way to being in the same situation unless some thing is done now. But you won’t.
Bubba it does sound very familiar and very scary. I don’t know why we cant learn from others, but it doesnt look good.
