It’s Time To Bring Back Vigilantism
I am angry. Not just pissed angry. I mean mayhem angry.
Last week, my computer became infected with a virus called
ThinkPoint. It took control of my computer in all aspects, and
the more I tried to get rid of it, the more the infection spread.
I won’t bore you will all the different steps I took trying to
recover, but I will say that in the end I had to reformat the
computer and lost everything I had stored on it over the past
8 years. And have spent hours upon hours in the process.
What gets me really going is knowing that somewhere, in some
dark room loaded with thousands of dollars of computer equipment,
some beady-eyed low-life bastard son-of-a bitch who had never had
a date and can’t maintain a relationship with other humans, is
jumping with glee that he’s caused thousands of people to lose
their computers.
And what further pushes me over the edge is that when these
hackers are occasionally caught, they are given probation and
a small fine. I don’t get it…..if you steal a man’s wallet with $3
in it, you get a prison sentence, but when you cause millions of
dollars in damage to individuals and businesses you get a slap
on the wrist.
So, I think it’s time to return to vigilantism. What is needed is
a crack squad of computer geeks to track these hackers down.
And then we need another commando squad to apprehend these
weasels and mete out appropriate punishment.
As for punishment, I thought of beheadings, or perhaps burying
them up to their necks in sand and stoning them, but these
punishments are just not brutal enough. No, they need something
a little more drawn out. Like, maybe, chaining them up in a room
with a scantily-clad female trained in the martial arts, and
everytime they respond to her whiles, they get the crap beat out
of them. Or better yet, lock them in a dark, dank room with no
food or water; just a computer that controls a lock on the door.
And 12 numbers. They can free themselves by entering the correct
combination. Only, each time they hit the 12th number, if the
combination is incorrect, they get a 220 volt zap.
Or maybe someone has a better idea.

I have a suggestion. Quit visiting Russian porn sites.
1I stick to Ukranian Mr Coyote! Much safer.
2I would ask you how you know that that is what caused my problem, but that wouldn’t be polite.
Actually, I was on Facebook, and clicked on a button allowing a site to view my personal information, and it was shortly after that that I started having problems.
I have learned one valuable lesson…..not to go on the internet without virus protection. When my Norton expired, I never got around to renewing it. Bad move.
3Go get Stop Sign and never worry about this again. Norton and McAfee are worthless. http://www.stopsign.com
4I agree with the original post. The phrase’ “He needed Killin’.” Comes to mind.
5Damn, I agree. Hang them high.
