London Broil tastes so good…on The Big Green Egg

Marinated London Broil on the Green Egg

(can be cooked on gas or charcoal grill also).

Note: This meat needs to be prepared the night before cooking to allow marinate to soak through meat.

Combine:

1/3 cup of vegetable oil

¼ cup of soy sauce

2 cloves of pressed garlic

3 tbs. of molasses

1 tbs. dry mustard

Place 21/2 – 3 lb. London Broil in a shallow baking dish. Thoroughly mix ingredients and pour over meat. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. The next morning, turn the meat on the other side and baste with the marinate juices. Cover and continue to refrigerate. Take meat out of refrigerator one hour before cooking to stand at room temperature.

Prepare coals and bring temperature to about 500 degrees. Sear meat on both sides at this temperature for about 1 1/2 minutes per side. Close vents and allow meat to continue to cook. For medium rare leave on grill for about 20 minutes. (Longer if you prefer medium or more). For gas grills you probably should turn the flame down low, but not off.

Seared to perfection!

Let meat rest for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. Slice meat at a diagonal and enjoy.
