Twisted Musings

What is it that can touch you, yet you cannot touch it? You can hear it, you can feel it. It can make you happy and at times it makes you sad. It makes you tap your feet and even get up and Dance (No not winning the lottery)

 It fills your life. You can ignore it  but you can’t dismiss it, Its even there when you are not conscious of it. It will convey moods, emotions, thoughts, impressions and yes even sex (Really) or political concepts and the language of it can be used to mean style or genre. Genre is a personal concept, it can have subtle changes that move it from genre to genre, yet we all accept it in one form or another. So what is IT?  Of course it is music. 

Can you imagine watching a two hour movie with no music or a stage show without music? How about a television program and no music or annoying Jingles?  (I’ll go for that) How  about radio with no music. (No Rap, Thank you Lord

 Music is your life even though you may not recognize it as such, yes we take it for granted yet some people are gifted with it,  most of us do not understand it, leastways the theory of it. We just hear it, it can be pleasant even intrusive and at times downright obnoxious but we hear it.

 Many years ago a friend of mine was taking a course in Musical Mathematics and he tried to explain the concept to me, as I told him “that would drive me to drink”, I am just a listener.

Talking about drink its time I took one or two and listened to some (IT) music.
