The never ending answer!

April 04, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

Obama has been telling us recently that we need to tone down the rhetoric. Apparently he doesn’t like what we have to say so of course we shouldn’t say it. What is funny though is apparently he has plenty to say, or at least plenty of talking to do, without much to actually say. Friday at a question and answer session for workers he was asked if he thought adding taxes via the health care package was a good idea because we are over taxed as it is.

The workers name was Doris and she said “We are over-taxed as it is,”

His response was “Well, let’s talk about that, because this is an area where there’s been just a whole lot of misinformation, and I’m going to have to work hard over the next several months to clean up a lot of the misapprehensions that people have,”

He then apparently spent the next 17 minutes rambling on about a number of seemingly unrelated topics, including pay as you go, FICA, COBRA,  Medicare waste, Congressional Budget Office reports, and even bringing Warren Buffet into the picture. His answer was over 2500 words and 17 minutes long. He went on with a three point list, making a final point before starting another three point list.

According to the report people on the stage were yawning and some of the people in the crowd began to wander off. Finally he finished up with “Boy, that was a long answer. I’m sorry,” he said, drawing nervous laughter that sounded somewhat like relief as he wrapped up. But, he said: “I hope I answered your question.”

The report did not say whether he did or not but based on what was written I’m guessing he did not. I wonder what Doris thought about that? Maybe she is one of the ones that wandered off.

Frustration!

November 09, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

I am writing this with a  fair amount of frustration at the way the American public is treated by our government and elected officials! It seems that nothing the majority cares about is reflected in our government.

Example 1) Please show me a legitimate poll that shows a majority of the public believes in and supports the health-care bill that was passed this weeked by the House. There is none! Yet it was rammed down the throats of the public. I can guarantee you no one that voted for the bill has read it, or has even had a staff member read it! There just was not enough time. Granted it probably will not pass through the Senate and if it does it will be in a different form and will face another vote in reconciliation but still, it should not have passed! I anxiously await 2010!!

Example 2) Our General overseeing the war in Afghanistan has requested 60,000 more troops in order to fight the war in a proper manner. The White House is leaning towards a middle ground of 30,000. People, in a war like this there is no middle ground!! Either bring the troops home, or give the amount of troops the General has requested in order to fight the war to victory.  Obama does not know anything about military and should be listening to the military and not to the leftist liberals that paid his way to victory!

3) Obama can take a trip to Europe to try to get his hometown of Chicago the Olympics but he cant go to Germany for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Berlin wall coming down. I’m sure there are many reasons why he will say he didn’t but most likely he didn’t want to hear a lot of stories about President Ronald Reagan, a complete opposite of Obama, who helped bring the wall down!

I could go on but the fact is our government does not care what we have to say or feel. They only care about attaining and maintaining power.

We must speak out and next year we must begin the process of taking back our government and our country.

Some Americans Go To Sleep At Night Wondering About Presidency: “How Did This Happen?”

Rangel Plays Race Card, Says Obamacare The Victim

Well Charles Rangel, I do go to sleep at night, when I can sleep, asking how this could happen. But unlike you, I’m not referring to it in a racist manner, and yes you are a racist, because you  assume that people don’t  approve of the health care reform because Obama is black.

No Charlie, I go to sleep wondering how could we end up in a situation where we have quadrupled our debt in 6 months.

I go to sleep wondering why Obama is even thinking about prosecuting CIA agents who were doing the job entrusted to them of protecting us from further attacks, which by the way they did.

I go to sleep at night wondering how Obama managed to fill his Presidency with non cabinet positions with the likes of communist leaning Van Jones who thinks Republicans are a**holes and who obviously has issues with white people.

I go to sleep at night wondering how Obama lied about wanting to bring people together, when his actions are driving a wedge between, black and white, rich and poor, Republicans and Democrats, liberals and conservatives, etc, etc…

I go sleep wondering why you Mr Rangel, who is head of the committee that writes tax laws, managed to “forget” to report millions of dollars in income. If I made a few hundred extra I could see myself forgetting that. Does that mean millions is nothing to you, or were you blatantly violating laws?

I go to sleep at night wondering why Obama has not stepped up and nipped  the whole looking at pressing charges against Dick Cheeny in the bud. Although it would be kind of interesting if that happens because I’m sure the reports concerning terrorism and what was stopped because of what we did to prevent them, is something you do not want us to see.

I go to sleep at night wondering how it was allowed for Maxine Waters and Barney Frank to scream that there was no reason for Fannie Mae to be looked at back in 2004, that everything was fine. We see that was bologna!

Yes there are a lot of things I go to sleep at night wondering about, related to President Obama, but it sure isn’t what race he is. There are way too many other things to worry about.

Charlie Rangel, it’s time you and others who use the race card every time things don’t fall your way to stop it! Let the facts stand on their own and quit muddying the waters with irresponsible charges.

President Obama blames Republicans for being against healthcare reform but forgets about blue dogs who are also against

July 25, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

In his weekly address today,  President Obama again railed against Republicans who he seems to think that they would rather damage him politically rather than fix a broken system. He even said “I’ll leave it to them to explain that to the American people.”  This was a continuation of his blaming Republicans during his news conference on July 22,2009 when he said “I understand how easy it is for this town to become consumed in the game of politics – to turn every issue into running tally of who’s up and who’s down.  I’ve heard that one Republican strategist told his party that even though they may want to compromise, it’s better politics to “go for the kill.”  Another Republican Senator said that defeating health reform is about “breaking” me.”

Why is he so worried about what the Republicans are saying when Democrats control both the House and Senate? Maybe it’s because the Democrats themselves cannot agree on this plan. The Blue Dogs, which is what a group of fiscal conservative  Democrats are know as, have not had their concerns about the bill addressed.  The leader of their group, Representative Mike Ross said that talks had fallen apart Friday and he saw no possibility of a new deal, saying “after over a week of very intense and what I believe to be good faith negotiations … it pretty much fell apart this afternoon.”

Obviously President Obama does not want blame fellow Democrats for this collapsing deal, but everyone needs to know it is not just a partisan effort to wreck his legislation. He does not have the broad support he wants us to believe he has and that he needs to get this passed.

President Obama pays for healthcare with funds from mismanaged programs

July 23, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News

Does anyone besides myself find it a little odd that President Obama says that he is going to pay for the national health care plan by reallocating funds that are being wasted in federal health care programs? Think about that one.  Yes, we are going to finance a new program with funds that are being wasted in other programs. Yet we are supposed to believe the government will get it right on this one? Personally I am somewhat leery of a government that has spent all of my social security with no plans on how to replace it, getting the health care program right. It appears that much of the country is starting to see this as his poll numbers are dropping, and contrary to Speaker Pelosi’s statements, they do not have the votes to push it through.  That became apparent with the decision to wait until the fall for a vote. I guess we will see if it happens then.

President Obama speaks of healthcare without knowing facts

July 22, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News, Uncategorized

Once again, President Obama speaks of facts without knowing facts. He even admits it….again. Yesterday he admitted he didn’t know what was in the House health care bill, after denying that it outlaws private insurance coverage.  Since it’s difficult to deny a bill does something while at the same admitting you don’t know what the bill says, doesn’t do much for your arguments credibility. Tonight, after continuing to spew the same misinformation about the health care bill, he ended the nonsense by talking about something else, in which he admitted he didnt know the facts.

Tonight he chose to talk about how “stupidly” the Cambridge police acted in the arrest of Henry Gates, a Harvard professor. Mr. Gates locked himself out of his house which we all have done at some point. However, most of us appreciate when the police are looking out for possible burgulars, and show up at our house. It has happened to me before, when I was loading personal belongings into a truck which I was taking to a charitable organization. Mr. Gates however, chose to get belligerent with the police, arguing with them, taunting them with names, and accusing them of racial profiling.  It’s a shame in this day and time, that that sort of behavior is tolerated, and even condoned by the American public and even the President of the United States. If one was of a suspicious nature, the thought might even occur that’s its just another way of talking about something besides a failing presidency and a health plan sure to bankrupt this country.

President Obama admits he is not familar with House bill?

July 21, 2009 By: twistedmuser Category: News

If President Obama is not familiar with House bill and the Representatives are not either, who does know what is being passed? We have bills being rammed through that are thousands of pages long that Congress admits they have not read, and probably will not.

Obama is telling us publicly that we can keep our coverage, and keep our doctor, period. However, if he read the bill that is being presented, then he would know  this is not true. If he has read the bill then he is lying, because the bill will essentially run private carriers out of business. Why will they be run out of business? Because the regulations are going to be so extensive and restraining, costs will be driven up. The Heritage Foundation partnered with the Lewin Group and this is what they found.

  • Approximately 103 million people would be covered under the new public plan and, as a consequence, about 83.4 million people would lose their private insurance. This would represent a 48.4 percent reduction in the number of people with private coverage.
  • About 88.1 million workers would see their current private, employer-sponsored health plan go away and would be shifted to the public plan.
  • Yearly premiums for the typical American with private coverage could go up by as much as $460 per privately-insured person, as a result of increased cost-shifting stemming from a public plan modeled on Medicare.

President Obama, where is that promised transparency? Why won’t you tell us what it’s really going to cost!
