Where In The World Is Obama?

May 27, 2010 By: twistedmuser Category: Uncategorized

Where has Obama been? He has traveled through Europe explaining to Europe that we are an arrogant nation and no longer a superpower.

Where will he not be? He will not be at Arlington Cemetery on Memorial Day to honor our fallen troops.

Where has he been? Meeting with Mexican President Calderone agreeing with him about how misguided Arizona is in passing an immigration law which has the intent of enforcing existing federal law.

Where has he not been? He has not been in Arizona supporting the citizens of one of the states of The United States of America, in their struggle against the invasion of illegal immigrants using Mexico as an entry point but certainly not limited to Mexicans.

Where has Obama been? He pledged full support to Haiti after the earthquake and has sent Michelle to visit. In itself, I have no problem with, but….

Where has he not been? He was not in Nashville while they have struggled with five hundred year floods that have devastated entire communities. Nor has he been on the Gulf Coast while they fight against the tide of crude oil flooding the coastline, destroying the marshes, animal life, the fishing industry and the tourism business.

Why don’t we ask Maxine Waters. I know this is a year old, but I’m guessing that the liberal democratic senator from California has not changed her mind too much on this issue. From this link on World Net Daily and YouTube Senator Waters speaks about socializing, but quickly changing it to taking over the oil industry. I believe another term for this is nationalizing! This was in Congressional hearings last year concerning the high prices at the pump. She asked the president of Shell Oil, John Hofmeister to guarantee that prices would go down if they could drill wherever they wanted. Wisely, he guaranteed her they would go up if they couldn’t find new sources of oil.

It’s almost unbelievable that she would say this, except remember she is the same one that said in congressional hearings in 2003 “However, I have sat through nearly a dozen hearings where, frankly, we were trying to fix something that wasn’t broke. Housing is the economic engine of our economy, and in no community does this engine need to work more than in mine. With last week’s hurricane and the drain on the economy from the war in Iraq, we should do no harm to these GSEs (Government Sponsered Entities). We should be enhancing regulation, not making fundamental change.  Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and in particular at Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Mr. Frank Raines. Everything in the 1992 act has worked just fine. In fact, the GSEs have exceeded their housing goals. . . .”

I think we all know how that turned out. People, this is the thinking of the majority of our lawmakers and of our President. If we don’t do something about this 2010, we are going to find ourselves going down a road that will be very difficult to reverse.
